Kids Co'Motion 2021
Monday-Friday / 10am-2:30pm / July 12-30
Performances on July 30-31
Kids Co’Motion will be different in the year of the novel coronavirus. Acknowledging the need for social distancing, we will be learning and creating movement and phrases at The Annex of Collegiate United Methodist Church and Wesley Foundation. KCM is still a fun, three-week intensive performance workshop especially for students aged 8-18. Under the direction of Valerie Williams, students will explore ways to use their own movement to connect to their environment. Experimentation and group interaction will be emphasized as professional instructors guide the creative process toward a professionally produced presentation on July 30-31at the Ames City Auditorium.
Participants will receive daily classes in:
· Modern dance technique
· Using movement to express ideas and feelings
